Running & Good Times


This is something that plagues me during my races. It seems no matter how hard I train or clean I eat, I am destined to have a cramp (or two). While not all cramps start the same, they always seem to end the same.

I would like this to be an open thread/forum to see what others do to prevent cramps, and how to remedy them once they occur.

Right now, I begin using a Sports Legs about one hour prior to my running event followed by SaltStick Plus during the run at one hour intervals.  I use Vanilla flavored Honey Stingers gels at 35 minute intervals.  My water breaks are typically planned out along the course as I consume the gels.

What helps you get through a race cramp-free?
