Running & Good Times

Looking back at January

The last 31 days in Virginia has been exciting. We have had a couple days of snow, several days of sub-freezing temperatures, and lots of sunny days. Even as I write this post we hit 66 degrees. The calendar shows that we have about two more months of winter left on the horizon, so let’s hope Punxsutawney Phil’s prediction is Spring.

One of my goals for this year is to log 2,016 miles. I am slowly chipping away at this goal one day at a time. Except for a few travel days, I was able to run 25 days – not a bad start to the year. Plus, I was able to beat my 10-mile PR time by a couple of minutes.  With One City Marathon just over a month away, I am going to try for a new marathon PR too.  Shooting for a 3:35 or better!

The last time I ran this many miles in a month was May 2015. I have not felt this healthy and focused in a long time. So, let’s stay strong and stay focused on what’s head.
