On February 3, 2018, I will be running in the 13th Annual Sedona Marathon. This will be my second marathon with BibRave, and the one I am most excited to run. Having lived in the southwest for a couple of years, I always wanted to visit Sedona, but never had the opportunity.
According to their website, “The course will take participants through the scenic Coconino National Forest District, known for its magical iron-clad formations, and onto the streets of one of the most beautiful cities in the Country – a city that has most recently been named by “Good Morning America” as one of the “TOP TEN most beautiful places in America.”
Shortly after registering, I discovered the Sedona Marathon made the BibRave 100 list for its Beautiful On-Course Scenery. If the hills don’t take your breath away, the scenery will!
I have developed a training plan to help prepare me for this marathon and the Tobacco Road Marathon (March 18, 2018). Unfortunately, I am still fighting a tendon/ligament injury in my left ankle, so I am going to do my best and stick to this plan as much as I can.
